Remembering a Life of Service, Love, and Family
On October 5, 2026, the Vaughan family suffered the sudden, heartbreaking loss of Terrence Scott Vaughan, lovingly known as Scott. A devoted father, active Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officer, and member of the Nevada Army National Guard, Scott dedicated more than two decades of his life to serving his community and country.
While public service was central to who he was, nothing meant more to Scott than his two children, Sean and Isabella.
Scott leaves behind his 20-year-old son, Sean, who proudly serves in the United States Coast Guard, and his 14-year-old daughter, Isabella, a high school freshman who must now face the difficult reality of growing up without her father.
A Family Facing an Unexpected Loss
Scott was a constant source of love, guidance, and stability in Isabella’s life. His unexpected passing has left a tremendous void, both emotionally and financially, at a time when she should be focused on school, friendships, and enjoying her teenage years.
Before his passing, Scott helped provide for Isabella’s everyday needs through child support and shared parental responsibilities. With that financial support suddenly gone, Isabella and her mother, Jacqueline, are facing an uncertain future.
Jacqueline is currently unemployed and working to secure survivor benefits and other financial assistance for her daughter. Unfortunately, these processes take time, leaving the family with immediate expenses and limited resources as they navigate their loss.
How Your Support Can Help
Behind the Blue is coming together to help ease the financial burden on Isabella and her mother during this difficult transition.
Donations will help provide for Isabella’s immediate and ongoing needs, including:
- Everyday essentials: Groceries, clothing, personal care items, and other necessities.
- Healthcare expenses: Medical appointments, prescriptions, insurance coverage, and unexpected medical costs.
- Education: School supplies, educational expenses, and school-related activities.
- A sense of normalcy: Extracurricular activities and opportunities for Isabella to spend time with friends and enjoy experiences important to her teenage years.
- Family stability: Other essential expenses while we arrange survivor benefits and financial assistance.
At just 14 years old, Isabella has already experienced an unimaginable loss. While nothing can replace her father, our community can help ensure financial hardship doesn’t add to the challenges she and her family face.
Honoring Scott’s Legacy Through Compassion
Throughout his life, Scott answered the call to serve others. Now, we have an opportunity to honor that service by supporting the daughter he loved so deeply.
Behind the Blue invites our law enforcement family, friends, and Southern Nevada community to come together for Isabella.
Every donation, no matter the amount, can provide comfort, stability, and peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time.
Your generosity will help Isabella and her mother focus on healing and adjusting to life after their loss, knowing they have a community standing beside them.
Thank you for honoring Terrence Scott Vaughan’s life and legacy and for showing Isabella that she and her family are not alone.
Together, we can make a difference for the family of someone who dedicated his life to serving others.
