Behind the Blue, assists our Southern Nevada Law Enforcement employees and their families in various ways such as, individual online fundraising, catastrophic grant funding, emergency management, wellness seminars. We are proud and humbled to be selected by Sheriff McMahill as the LVMPD Wellness Bureau nonprofit.
How We Help
Individual Online Fundraising
Southern Nevada has over 10,000 law enforcement employees. It is not uncommon for multiple requests for assistance to partake simultaneously, this is why our online fundraisers are a fast and easy way to receive assistance. Once funds are collected the employee will be able to instantly withdraw funds to help them with relief.
Catastrophic Grant Funds
For employees who qualify under Behind the Blue’s catastrophic relief fund. An employee may apply for a one-time grant within a 12-month calendar year for assistance.
Emergency Management
Behind the Blue has been assisting LVMPD Emergency Management unit with perishable goods since 2019. Through relationships with our community partners, Behind the Blue can help provide items such as water, energy drinks, sports drinks, and snacks to Officers who are unable to leave command post during working hours. During a state of emergency, Behind the Blue will also help facilitate donations and contributions to the department to help replenish supply on demand.
