We are reaching out to support LVMPD Officer Trent Yokofich and his family during a time of profound heartbreak. On Monday, July 7, 2025, Trent and his wife were devastated to learn at their 20-week anatomy scan that their daughter, Elizabeth Jo Yokofich, no longer had a heartbeat. She had passed away at 17 weeks gestation.
In an effort to preserve his wife’s mental and emotional well-being, the family made the difficult decision to pursue a surgical procedure. When that was unsuccessful, she was admitted and endured a grueling 36-hour labor induction. Tragically, during a second surgical attempt, doctors discovered a uterine rupture—requiring an emergency C-section to recover their baby and save her life.
While the Yokofich family continues to heal physically, the emotional toll is immeasurable—and the financial burden from the extended hospital stay and emergency care has added stress during an already overwhelming time.
