Help Lieutenant Jonathan D. Rivera Heal: Your Support Matters

Officer Rivera

Lieutenant Jonathan D. Rivera, a dedicated correctional officer with 14 years of service at High Desert State Prison, needs our help. On a fateful Friday morning, while on his way to work, LT Rivera was involved in a devastating wrong-way, rollover crash on US 95 near Lee Canyon. A drunk driver caused the accident, leaving LT Rivera trapped in his vehicle, requiring the jaws of life for his rescue. He was then airlifted to UMC Hospital.

LT Rivera sustained severe injuries, including a damaged heart vein requiring emergency surgery, a broken shoulder, wrist, pelvis, 10 broken ribs, and a broken knee and ankle. His recovery is long and arduous, with multiple surgeries and extensive rehabilitation ahead.

LT Rivera’s wife, Karla, and their two young children, aged 7 and 2, are facing unimaginable challenges during this difficult time. As a community, we can come together to support them through this crisis.

Your generous contributions will assist with medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and provide much-needed support for LT Rivera and his family. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a significant difference in their lives.

Join us in standing with LT Rivera and his family.
