Officer Andrew Buckland, a dedicated member of the Las Vegas Metro Police Downtown Area Command, needs our help for his son Hayden, who is battling Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer affecting his left leg.
Hayden’s treatment journey is a challenging one, requiring 12 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by 2 weeks of surgery at UCLA, and then an additional 22 weeks of chemotherapy. Ewing Sarcoma accounts for only 2-3% of all children’s cancers, and each year approximately 250-300 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with this aggressive disease.
Officer Buckland, a former Marine, has always embodied the spirit of resilience and determination. With the motto “always in the fight” ingrained in his character, he now faces one of the toughest battles as he supports his son through this difficult time.
